Our Mimizan campsite is open from 26 April to 30 September.
Reception is open from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm in high season (4pm to 6pm in low season).
In case of late arrival, do not hesitate to contact us, as we will do our best to make the start of your holiday pleasant!
Our team welcomes you with a smile and the desire to make you spend a dream holiday!
Family campsite close to the ocean, the Maïade is managed as a family! In summer, you will certainly meet one or more of our 4 older children to take your order, play a game of petanque or help you.
In case of emergency, we live on site and are here to help!
The snack in Mimizan
The snack bar is the central place of the campsite, located in a privileged, cool and shady place, under the huge oak, which we love!
Come and have your gourmet breakfast.
At the snack bar in Mimizan, we offer home-made pizzas, aperitif platters to share, etc., to eat in or take away. In summer, we also organise themed evenings: paellas, Basque chicken, Creole or burgers.
We too sometimes don’t feel like cooking… or just want to extend the aperitif with friends. Relax, we’ll take care of dinner!
It’s also on holiday that you meet new friends. The snack bar is the ideal place to meet up with a group, so don’t hesitate to book your long tables!
And don’t forget to come to the snack bar for blind test evenings, concerts, game nights and much more!
Your breakfast like at home
Every morning at the snack bar, you will find fresh bread or artisanal pastries, to order the day before at the reception of the campsite in the Landes.
You can also savour the pleasure of a strong coffee, to the sound of birdsong.
Unless you prefer a delicious breakfast served on site, or to take away (book in low season).
Our favourite : From the snack bar, you will see the sun rise in the pines and tint the sky with magical colors!
Your rental in a spacious and wooded plot
Discover a quiet campsite in Mimizan. In fact, the plots are vast and the accommodation spaced far apart.
Camping amongst the trees, La Maïade is a real breath of nature.
All rentals are equipped with a comfortable terrace for outdoor living. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the campsite and the pleasant climate of the Landes.
Our best services for your comfort
- Bike hire: We offer adult bike hire directly at the campsite. Thanks to our partners, you can also hire children’s equipment.
- Wifi: our customers benefit from a free wifi zone in the central area of the campsite (at reception, in the snack bar, at the swimming pool and in the communal toilets). However, La Maïade is a place that is truly conducive to disconnection and we have chosen not to extend the wifi zone beyond this area in order to invite all our holidaymakers, young and old, to reconnect with themselves, with others and with Nature!
- The grocery shop on the campsite: Here you’ll find local and artisanal products (beer brewed in Mimizan, honey from the Born apiaries, locally-made cakes, Landes pine soaps, etc.), as well as essentials (salt and pepper, tea, batteries, toothbrushes, etc.).
- Laundry: so you can take care of all the family’s laundry during your stay, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer, with coin-operated machines (€2, €1, €0.50 and €0.20).
Each rental unit is equipped with a washing line.
An ironing board and iron are also available at reception. - Communal barbecues : For a good time together at a campsite in the Landes, prepare your barbecues with your neighbours using our shared facilities. It’s also an opportunity to build relationships by keeping an eye on your grills!
- Kitchen garden: located just a few metres from the barbecue area, this is where you’ll find aromatic herbs to liven up your meals.
- Books and board games on loan: thrillers, novels, comic books, card games and board games are available free of charge from reception.
Travel with your pet
Pets are accepted in your wooded campsite in the Landes, in compliance with the Internal Regulations.
For the comfort and safety of all:
1st and 2nd category dogs are prohibited.
Dogs are allowed on the site provided that they have been declared at the time of booking, that they do not disturb the peace and safety of residents, that they respect basic rules of hygiene and the integrity of the facilities, that they are kept on a lead and that they have been vaccinated (vaccination certificate to be presented on request).
Cats are not allowed in the accommodation.
Rentals at extra cost
For your convenience, we also offer additional services:
- For families on holiday in the Landes: baby kit rental, consisting of a high chair, cot and bathtub
- Lighten your luggage, we can optionally provide you with sheets and / or towels !
- Disconnect from Mimizan, and entrust us with the preparation of your beds !
- In traditional camping , we can rent you a refrigerator, ice cream, etc.
- For sporting events or groups, do not hesitate to contact us to enjoy a packed lunch, or other special service.

Shopping in Mimizan
- Traditional market every Friday morning, in Mimizan, behind the Town Hall. You will find many local producers of fruit and vegetables, but also fishmonger, cheesemonger, butcher, oyster stalls, tapas and other cooked products. In short, everything you need to enjoy yourself!
- La Luna Botanique organic farm, 1.5 km from the campsite, with its shop open on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons
- The covered market at Mimizan Plage, open every morning
- The fairground market at Mimizan Plage offers not only the usual foodstuffs, but also stalls selling clothes, jewellery, gifts and much more.
- Bakery, wine cellar, delicatessen, press house, tobacconist, butcher, and many others in Mimizan, 3km from the campsite.
- Carrefour Market less than 2 km; Leclerc and Lidl less than 5km from your campsite, in Mimizan!
- But also decoration boutiques, a surfshop at Mimizan Plage…
