New: Our unusual habitats for alternative camping
The friendliness of camping, with the added comfort!
We offer two types of accommodation that are as close to nature as possible, for a glamping experience.
You have access to communal bathroom facilities, renovated in 2021, with individual shower cubicles, WCs, individual cubicles with washbasin, mirror and electrical socket. There are also washing-up and laundry bins.
Our toilets are accessible for disabled people: shower, WC, washing machine.
The Ecolodge for 2 people
Our canvas and wood ecolodges provide an ecological habitat in the heart of nature, sheltered and peaceful, for two people.
Each lodge is equipped with two single beds (with box spring, mattress and pillow), in a comfortable standing area (handy for changing after a long hike!), with an adjoining terrace equipped with two chiliennes to enjoy the sunset over the pine forest.
Our eco-friendly lodges are equipped with photovoltaic panels to provide lighting and recharge electronic devices.
Bookable by the night, they are perfect for a stopover on the move.
Our campsite in Mimizan is 700m from the departmental cycle path, which links up with the Vélodyssée or Atlantic Coast Route / EV1, and 700m from the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago de Compostela.
We take great care to cater for cyclists and hikers, offering them dinner and/or breakfast if they wish, served at the campsite snack bar or to take away. Out of season, we advise you to book these options to make sure you can take advantage of them. Just let us know by phone or e-mail.
The Cosy Nature experience
Equipped with a real, comfortable 140×190 bed, the Cosy Nature lets you sleep peacefully in the heart of nature.
It features all the modern equipment inside the cabin: mirror, reading light and USB charger, cupboards, blackout curtains and mosquito nets.
Outside, the boot opens onto a fully-equipped kitchen: gas hob, sink with drinking water supply, cool box, French press coffee maker, crockery for two, LED lighting and electrical socket.
Take advantage of the garden furniture provided to get away from it all as close to nature as possible.
We love: the intimacy of the interior cocoon for peaceful nights.

As part of its eco-responsible approach, La Maïade campsite favours soft modes of transport and offers services dedicated to tourists on bicycles:

- Bike cleaning area
- Closed bike shelter
- Sheltered dining room for meals
- Put you in touch with repairers, taxis or other accommodation providers
- And also the campsite services: washing machine and tumble dryer, library, convenience store, etc.
